Extensions
As your family gets bigger and your kids get older your house seems to get smaller. You could move to a bigger place and spend a fortune just to get an extra bedroom OR you could stay where you are and extend.
Just think, by sacrificing a small amount of your garden or land to the side of your property you could have anything up to 4 new rooms - a bigger living room, a separate dining room, an extra bedroom and bathroom upstairs or a new en suite.Not only will this make better use of the land you already own, it will add greatly to the value of your property and make it more appealing to potential buyers.
Imagine when you do come to sell your house to down-size or move to a different area, that you more than get back what you spent on the extension AND you have used it and lived in it for those years. It certainly makes a lot of sense when you look at how that land is currently being used.
