Period Restoration

Restoring period buildings requires a deep understanding of the buildings history and also the materials and techniques needed in order to accurately replicate the buildings look and character in this modern age.
When undertaking any work on a period building great care must be taken in order to keep the aesthetic of the building intact and also to keep the existing classic features untouched. Saul Galloway have great experience of extending and restoring period buildings throughout Scotland.

We first employed Saul Galloway, Joiners & Builders Ltd in 2008. They demolished a lean to garage, excavated a considerable area around our house, built a large detached double garage, laid driveway & patios & built retaining walls from local stone. Internal alterations were also carried out, removing a wall to extend the kitchen & creating french windows. Once the job started they were on site everyday, always helpful & courteous. As the job progressed each stage was discussed with us thoroughly & advice offered when we requested it. Additional work was costed & agreed before it went ahead, the office manager was always available & helpful. Any concerns we had after completion were addressed & resolved. The work was completed to a very high standard & they have since undertaken other jobs for us. We would have no hesitation in recommending this company.- Mr & Mrs Smith, Dunblane
